We were delighted to work with Marti Pellow and BMG Records to produce the music video for ‘These are the Days’. The first single from Marti’s new album STARGAZER.
This was a strong collaboration with Marti who already had a vision for the video. The song is very much about him looking back, reflecting on growing up, when life seemed simpler. We would’ve loved to have filmed in Marti’s hometown of Clydebank but unfortunately Covid scuppered that plan. Instead, we shot over two days in London, at a cement factory in South London and on the streets of Tower Hamlets and Southwark.
To recreate the emotion of the song we used archive footage of Glasgow in the 1970s and also filmed using anamorphic lenses, creating a vintage look and connecting the old and new worlds.
It’s always a pleasure working with talented artists and Marti was no exception. We’re really thrilled with the end result, hope you agree.
